Only 8% TCS Staff Will Work From Office, 3 Days A Week; 100% Work From Home For 555,000 Employees, Salary Hike As Well!

The corona has been contained and the situation has improved a lot. Most of the IT companies have even started to call back their employees to the office. Slowly and gradually this WFH provision is being abolished systematically and employees are being called back to work from office.

India’s one of the most valuable company, TCS has announced that it is going to call its employees to office starting this month.

Notably, TCS employs almost 6 lakh people.

However, not all employees will be called to office to work. Initially, its just going to be the top executives who will be called to the office, that too only for 3 days a week.

Remaining 2 days out of the total 5 days working per week, they can work from home. 

Senior Associates Called To Work from Office

At present, only 50,000 top level employees will be called to office for 3 days a week. For the remaining 2 days, they shall get the work from home facility.

The senior associates of the company are supposed to come to the office from April, as per Rajesh Gopinathan, TCS CEO and MD.

The number of employees who are called to the office shall increase gradually. Most of the employees (80 percent) will start working from the office, said the CEO. 

Salary will increase by 8 percent

When it comes to the salary hike, TCS has told its employees that they can expect a salary hike of 6-8 percent in the financial year 2022-23. It is the same hike that was given last financial year.

In the last quarter of FY 2021-22 i.e. January-March, 35,209 new employees have been appointed by TCS. For a single quarter, this is the highest number ever.

1,03,546 new employees have got jobs in the company in the last financial year. This is also a record till date. With this, the number of employees of TCS has reached 5,92,195.
