Collection Agents Confiscate Ola Cab In The Middle Of A Ride! Ola Customer Left Stranded On The Road, Says ‘Avoid Ola’
A family was left stranded in the middle of their journey they undertook with an Ola cab.
Twitter user @VikHasya posted all about the nightmare incident on Twitter.
Vikas Gowda, a Bengaluru resident, had booked an Ola cab to take his family to Mysuru.
How It Unfolded
About 90 minutes into the trip some “rowdies” showed up in two wheelers and created a blockade.
They claimed to be collection agents and threatened the Ola driver and ordered him to immediately pay up his debt.
They made the passengers get out and left them stranded as they confiscated the cab.
Ordeal Gets Worse
Gowda called Ola’s emergency response team which turned out to be of no help.
They put him on hold multiple times and connected him with multiple people who asked him to narrate the whole incident each time.
In the end, the only solution they offered was to cancel the ride and to book a fresh one.
It won’t be able to help any further since it was an outstation booking.
Ola Worked With The Collection Agents?
What’s more, it appears that Ola may have shared the driver’s location with the collection agents, which explains how they knew to arrive at the exact location.
He slammed the emergency response team for their lack of helpfulness or remorse.
He does not blame the cab driver for the incident and wants Ola to take responsibility.
Subpar Communication And Service
He told the team that he doesn’t want an apology or compensation but an official statement with an action plan to ensure such an incident never happens to anyone again.
This is not the first time, nor will it be the last that negative reports against Ola surface, be it for its service or for the glitches in its scooters.
Apart from its scooters, the company itself has been under fire lately with accusations of customer care executives being unhelpful and even downright rude.
Ola Finally Wakes Up
However, credit where it’s due.
Ola support responded to him on Twitter, writing “We hope you and your family reached home safely. We understand how upsetting this is and want to make sure this is taken care of. Since you’ve already shared the required details, the relevant team will reach out to you with assistance without any further delay.”
