Maruti Beats Tata, Hyundai, Kia To Emerge #1 Auto Brand: Top Selling Cars For February, 2022
India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki Automobile Limited, has yet again topped the charts in terms of sales, with Maruti Swift coming up in the first position.

Maruti Swift Ranks First In Sales In February
Maruti’s Swift has now replaced the Wagon R, which has been at the first position since November 2021. As per reports, half of the models have seen a minor YoY sales decline, whereas the other half saw an upward trend.
The best seller of February, the Maruti Suzuki, has sold more than 19,200 units sold. The car has mostly been found in the top five ranks every month. The Maruti Dzire has also jumped a few places with as much as a 50 percent YoY growth. Maruti has sold 3500 units more, as compared to January 2022.
Third in line is the Wagon R, whose sales have declined by around 20 percent, as compared to February 2021. The monthly sales of the car have also fallen by around 30 percent, as 20,334 units were sold in January this year.
There has been a 100 percent increase in monthly sales of the Maruti Baleno, however, the car has recorded a huge 40% decline in the monthly sales. The new Baleno is being delivered from February 23. The car’s leftover stocks were sold with huge discounts, which might be the reason behind the increase in sales of the car.
Mahindra Bolero Surprisingly Ranks Eighth
Next in line is the Tata Nexon, which sold 12,259 units and has doubled YoY sales. The car has been launched with many upgrades and special editions, and is Tata’s best-selling car for the last several months.
Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga has maintained its position in the bottom half of the table. The car has sold 11,649 units in February, which is a 20 percent increase from February 2021. Maruti’s another car, the Alto, has recorded a decline of 30 percent in the YoY sales, and has sold 5500 units lesser this year.
The Mahindra Bolero is in the eighth position, with an increase of over 120 percent in its YoY sales and monthly sales by over 200 percent.
The Venue comes in ninth place and is the only car from Hyundai to appear in the list, with more than 10,000 units sold.
In the tenth position is the Maruti Celerio, which has recorded a raise of nearly 60 percent in its YoY sales.
