Amid the ongoing level of high competition in the Indian telecom space, the state-run telecom provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the cheapest fibre services plan for its customers.

BSNL has released a new plan priced at Rs 329, offering services to its fiber broadband customers, a plan which offers all the major benefits of a broadband plan but at a super affordable rate.

BSNL’s New Cheapest Fiber Broadband Plan

The state-run telecom company has released its cheapest fiber broadband plan at Rs 329, a jump down from its most affordable plan at Rs 449.

Readers must note that the new Rs 329 pack for fibre broadband is available only for select states in the country.

One may check the availability of the same in their state through the BSNL Bharat Fibre’s web page.

Features of Rs 329 Pack

In the new cheapest broadband pack, users will get benefits, including:

  • Internet speed of 20 Mbps,
  • Internet data of 1TB or 1,000 GB,
  • 100 SMS/day,
  • A free fixed line voice calling connection, with any additional cost, and
  • A 90% discount on the bill for the first month of using this plan.

The said plan is priced at Rs 329 but a GST of 18% would be charged on this price and it would end up costing Rs 388 to users.

How is The Plan Different From Rs 449 Plan

As mentioned above, prior to the launch of the Rs 329 plan, BSNL offered Rs 449 plan, which was the most affordable plan under the stat-run telco’s umbrella of fibre broadband plans.

The only differences between the two packs are:

  • Internet speed of 30 Mbps, and
  • Data offered: 3.3TB

Thus, the Rs 329 plan is great for a single person, as 1TB data is enough for one person and at a very affordable price of under Rs 400.

‘It will be interesting to see if the private operators match BSNL with such an affordable plan’, states a TelecomTalk report.
