Hero’s New Electric Scooter Has Max Speed Of 25 Kmph! Costs Rs 72,000: Check Key USPs, Features & More
India’s top electric two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Electric has launched the Hero Eddy, a new electric scooter.
It is priced at Rs 72,000 and will be offered in two colours, Yellow and Light Blue.

No Licence Required
Looks wise, it gets sleek and angular body panels, an exposed handlebar, and a tall backrest for the pillion lending it a youthful look.
The scooter will not require any license or registration, meaning that it will be a low-speed electric scooter with maximum speed of 25 kmph.
The company said that it was built for short distance commutes to next door coffee shops, golf courses and gymnasiums for example.
Features
Some of its features include Find My Bike, E-Lock, Large Boot Space, Follow Me Headlamps and Reverse Mode.
The company has not revealed the full battery range but is expected to be around 50kms
Hero Electric has more than 750 sales and service outlets across the country along with a widespread charging network and trained roadside EV mechanics.
Simple One Gets Extra Battery Pack
In related news, Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has launched an additional battery pack for its Simple One electric scooter it launched last August.
The option of an additional battery pack would provide an additional riding range of 300+ km on a single charge.
Capacity, Price
The original version had a battery backup of 4.8 kWh but the upgraded version has a battery capacity of 6.4 kWh.
The boot acts as storage for the removable battery.
The one without battery is priced at Rs 1,09, 999 and the one with battery is priced at Rs 1,44,999 (ex-showroom).
