Tata Technologies will hire over 4,000 employees in FY23, against its initial target of hiring about 3,000 employees in the FY.

The Tata-owned engineering and design company Tata Technologies has announced that it will hire at least 1,000 people more than its earlier set target of 3,000 people in the financial year 2022-23, given its accelerating business growth and increased requirements from the customers’ side.

Tata Tech to Hire More Employees in FY23

The manufacturing and IT services management company Tata Technologies had announced in January 2022 that it would hire more than 3,000 innovators over the upcoming financial year 2022-23, under its expanded talent acquisition program.

Through this program, the company had planned to boost its workforce across major markets in India and across the globe, including Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

However,  due to rising demands from its customers and increasing growth in the company, Tata Tech has announced that it will up its target of hiring about 3,000 people in FY23 by at least 1,000 more employees.

Quoted by a PTI report, Tata Technologies’ Managing Director and CEO Warren Harris said, “That speaks to the fact that increasingly, we are not opportunities constrained. We are very much supply-side constrained and so the investments that we are making are biased towards building the type of capacity and capability that will enable us to fulfill the requirements of our customers”.

And just to show how successful the company in reality is, Harris stated that the company hired over 1,500 people in the Oct-Dec 2021 period alone.

“In terms of above the 3,000, we are putting together the business plan for next year but I would expect us to exceed the 3,000 by at least 1,000 people,” Harris added.

The engineering and designing services provider posted its best-ever quarterly performance in Q3 FY22. Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,034.1 crore and profit before tax at Rs 201.2 crore in the Dec-ending quarter.
