All Farmers Will Get Rs 1500 To Buy New Smartphone
Under PM Modi’s Digital India Mission, Gujarat Govt will provide Rs 1500 to every farmer in the state, for buying a new smartphone.
This amount will be only used for buying a new smartphone, and not for smartphone accessories like cover, power bank or chargers.
Spearheaded by the state agriculture department, this novel scheme has been devised to encourage more farmers to buy smartphones, and join the information superhighway for accelerating their growth and development.
And to help Gujarat become a leading agro-producer by leveraging technology.
Who All Are Eligible For This Govt Scheme?
All land-holding farmers in the state of Gujarat are eligible to avail this smartphone scheme by the State Govt in Gujarat.
By owning a smartphone, farmers will be able to get the latest updates, information and guidance to ensure better crops, and increase their revenues by leveraging the power of technology.
How To Apply For This Govt Scheme?
Eligible citizens are requested to visit this Gujarat Govt portal, and enter their details to avail Rs 1500 incentive for buying a smartphone.
Overall, Govt will provide 10% of the value of smartphone to the farmers, and this amount cannot be more than Rs 1500.
Hence, if a new entry level smartphone costs Rs 8000, then the farmer and eligible applicant will receive Rs 800 as incentive from the Govt. For a Rs 15,000 smartphone, the farmer can get maximu Rs 1500 as incentive.
On the portal, the farmer needs to upload the invoice of the purchase, IMEI number, cancelled cheques and more.
