Goldman Sachs Offers Additional Paid Leaves For 7000+ Indian Employees: 20 Days Paid Leaves For These Reasons
A slew of benefits is announced for its employees by Goldman Sachs Group including a 20-day paid leave in case of a miscarriage.
To Combat Employee Burnout
The multinational investment bank said the new measures aim “to combat employee burnout.”
“Will provide 20 days of paid ‘Family Care Leave’ for a miscarriage (applies to loss of pregnancy for yourself, spouse or surrogate) as well as the loss of a family member, including your spouse, domestic partner, or child” said Goldman Sachs.
Further, it said that for non-immediate family members, leave duration will be five days.
Global Sabbatical Program
The bank has also introduced a global sabbatical program for its long-tenured employees.
Apart from this, the program offers 6-week unpaid leave for employees with 15 years of service.
With an additional 2-week for every five years of service at the firm thereafter.

Presently, Goldman Sachs India Services has more than 7,000 employees in its Bengaluru office and about 350 in Hyderabad.
It is the investment bank’s second-largest office after New York.
Care Of Family Members
Basically these new benefits are provided for a 4-week paid leave for care of family members due to serious illness, military deployment or foster placement.

The main aim of this initiative was to assist with the expenses associated with adoption, egg retrieval, egg donation, and surrogacy.
