Finally, the Indonesian arm of Honda Motor Company, PT Honda Prospect Motor revealed the new Honda SUV RS Concept, after weeks of teaser images.

New Honda SUV RS Concept Launch In Indonesia

The SUV will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun MG Astor, Nissan Kicks, and Renault Duster when it comes to India.

Basically, this is a midsize SUV concept,  new 5-seater SUV from Honda Indonesia.

It is based on the Honda City and Honda BR-V platforms.

Presently, the new Honda SUV RS concept is restricted to the Indonesian market.

Although, it is expected to make its way to India sometime later next year, after launching in Indonesia.

New Honda RS Concept Design

The design for the new Honda RS Concept is mostly based on the design language of the Honda HR-V along with the recently launched Honda BR-V.

The new Honda RS Concept will be slotted below the Honda HR-V in the global markets.

This SUV will get angular wraparound headlamps at the front with the grille merging into the front bumper.

It has a wide air dam, a faux skid plate, and the vertical fog lamp slats, which are sourced from other Honda models.

Coming to its profile, the new Honda SUV RS Concept has a body cladding at the lower section of the doors flanked by large alloy wheels wrapped in matte black paint.

Rear Section Design

The rear section receives horizontally positioned LED taillamps connected to a faux light bar.

The large bumper at the back houses the number plate and a faux skid plate.

So far, Honda refrained from revealing its engine specifications and interiors as it is only a concept model.

Although, it is expected to come with the same mills that do duty on the Honda which is a 1.5-litre i-VTEC and i-DTEC engine options with either similar output or slightly tweaked.

It seems that the new Honda SUV RS Concept will also feature a mild-hybrid unit, but sadly it won’t come to India.
