Even though SUVs have become an apple of the eye of a significant amount of car enthusiasts all over the world, the importance of the Hatchback segment for any car manufacturing company can not be overstated. The Hatchback segment still contributes almost 50% of the total number of car sales. Given the importance of this segment, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch Celerio.

New Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be launched on 10th Nov 2021

According to reports, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the new generation Celerio in India on Wednesday, 10 November 2021. This new Celerio does not only use a new platform but also will be adorned with a newly designed exterior. Incidentally, anticipating the interest of customers in large numbers the company has already commenced pre-launch bookings for the hatchback.

The upcoming Celerio will come with a new generation Heartech platform. According to the company, safety is the primary objective it has considered while designing this platform.

New Celerio will have many face-lifting features

As the company has given more emphasis on safety the new Celerio will come with better impact absorption during a collision. According to the company, the Heartech platform also provides improved stability and control.

The redesigned exterior will come with new headlights, taillights, bumpers, grille, and even alloy wheels. The hatchback is most likely to come with a newly designed interior. With the new design,  new features such as a new instrument cluster, a reasonably large infotainment touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, new steering with audio and phone controls, air conditioning, etc. are expected.

Coming to the heart of the car, the new Celerio is expected to be powered by a 1.0-liter K-series dual jet VVT petrol engine coupled with either a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT transmission.

How much Indian customers embrace this new hatchback, only time will tell.
