This Airlines Stops Salaries Of 800 Unvaccinated Employees: No Vaccine, No Salary!?

A major international airline has decided to stop salaries of around 800 employees, who have not received any vaccine against the Corona virus outbreak.

This means that for these employees, there is no salary, if there is no vaccine!

Will other corporations follow suit?

Here are the details..

No Salary For 800 Unvaccinated Employees

Air Canada has decided to suspend 800 employees, and put their salary on hold because they have not received any dose of vaccines.

Air Canada has a total of 27,000 crew members and employees, and out of them, 800 have received no vaccine. Hence, no salary for them.

Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau said, “Our employees have done their part, with now over 96 per cent fully vaccinated. The employees who are not vaccinated or do not have a medical or other permitted exemption have been put on unpaid leave.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already announced that federally regulated air, rail and shipping companies in and around Ottawa need to vaccinate their employees.

Other airlines in Canada too have less than 4% employees unvaccinated.

Which Companies Are Suspending Unvaccinated Employees?

One of the biggest IT companies in the world: IBM, had recently warned all American employees that their salaries will be stopped, and they will be suspended from work if they don’t vaccinate themselves.

IBM has already given a deadline of December 8th for more than 70,000 employees regarding the vaccine mandate.

Adobe too has issued a stern warning to more than 24,000 employees, regarding vaccination.

Salaries can be stopped, and employees can be suspended, if they fail to get vaccinated.

More and more corporates are now pushing for vaccinating their employees, that will create a safer working condition for all.
