Tata Motors Sold 382% More Cars In May, 2021: Best Selling Tata Cars In India?

Tata Motors recorded a cumulative tally of 24,552 vehicles in May 2021, up from 4,418 units in the previous month, representing a 456 per cent increase in domestic sales. 

Tata Motors YoY Sales Growth In May 2021

Tata registered 15,181 units last month as against just 3,152 units in May 2020 with a YoY volume increase of 382 per cent in the passenger vehicle department.

Whereas in April 2021, tata has registered with 25,095 units, resulted in a Month-on-Month sales decline of 40 per cent.

Tata had only an 8.6 per cent market share in May 2020. Earlier this year, Tata introduced the Safari in the domestic market

Tata Motors reported its highest monthly sales in nearly nine years. The Country’s third most sold carmaker in February 2021 with a healthy YoY sales growth of 119 per cent was reported with 27,224 units sold.

Top Selling Models Of Tata Motors

The Safari seven-seater performed well in its initial months. It is based on the Harrier, which was launched earlier this year. The Safari was reintroduced in a new form in our market by the Indian automaker, which also saw its highest sales figures in nearly nine years.

Tata is expected to launch the HBX concept based micro SUV later this year and it was recently spotted in its production guise. 

The new cars coming out this year will be dominated by the SUV body style. Tata’s next major domestic launch is the Hornbill micro SUV, which is based on the HBX model and is expected to go on sale in the second half of this calendar year.

 It could be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as the Tiago and Altroz, paired to either a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
