TCS Sets Up 100 Vaccination Centres For Giving Free Vaccines To 5 Lakh Employees, Their Families
Over 100 Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs) across the country along with tying up with hospitals and health care providers to procure doses for inoculating its associates and their families is what Tata Consultancy Services (TCS NSE 0.67 %) is doing as its contribution to the vaccination drive in order to beat the virus.
The company said that large scale vaccination drives in the third and fourth week of May shall be carried out. Currently, it has already started vaccination camps in a few cities.
TCS’s Vaccination Drive For Associates & Their Families
With the aim to vaccinate associates and their families, company is tying with hospitals and health care providers for this exercise and also is aiming to procure doses via suppliers. To make sure that not just associates but also their family members are covered, multiple modes of procurement are being explored, said the Mumbai based IT Major.
It added that in order to procure as well as administer the vaccines across cities in India, a core team shall work will be formed and it shall communicate the process to associates, ensure infrastructure and process readiness to ensure a smooth experience.
100 CVCs across Offices in 21 Cities, Medical Partners in 33 cities
In order to enhance the accessibility for the associates based out of various locations, TCS has devised a pan India systematic multi-vendor and multi-location mechanism by setting up over 100 CVCs across India TCS offices in 21 cities and CVCs with primary medical partner across 33 cities.
A national network of more than 650 hospitals shall enable the access to vaccination centers for those associates that do not have access to CVCs.
TCS said that the entire vaccination drive will be digitally enabled and technology will be leveraged for end-to-end process management including registration and scheduling via an internal application.
In order to stress the importance of getting vaccinated and also to make the necessary information available to the associates, the employer of over 4.88 lakh employees in India, has launched an internal campaign.
A total of 18 crore jabs have been given till date to the beneficiaries as India plans to ramp up the drive.
Over one lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccines (Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik V) are expected to be given by IT major Wipro to its employees as well as their families.
Tech Mahindra, in its Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru campus, has also rolled out a vaccination drive for its associates and dependent family members above the age of 18 years.
To initiate the first phase of vaccination drive, Tech Mahindra has partnered with Fortis Healthcare in Delhi-NCR and Kauvery Hospital in Bengaluru and shall also cover the cost of vaccination. In order to ensure 100 per cent employee vaccination, company is taking not only taking proactive measures but also is collaborating with leading hospitals. In order to convert campuses in Noida, Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai to COVID Care Units, Tech Mahindra is collaborating with leading hospitals.
