Vodafone Offers Free Recharge For 6 Crore Users After Airtel, Jio Launch Similar Plans
Vodafone Idea (Vi) today announced that it will provide a one-time Rs 49 plan and a new combo voucher RC79 to its low-income users base to help them stay connected during the ongoing second wave of the pandemic.
It’s a free offer to 6 crore low-income customers to help them stay connected during this pandemic time.
Vi Will Provide Special Relief Offer
The Rs 49 pack provides a Talktime of Rs 38 and 100MB data with a validity of 28 days, while the RC79 combo voucher comes with the benefit of double talk time of Rs 128 (64+64) and 200MB of data for a validity of 28 days for a limited period.
It has also announced the availability of a Rs 79 recharge voucher with two perks.
“As a special gesture, with this one-time offer, VIL will be extending benefits worth up to Rs 2,940 million to the low-income group users in the country,” the telco said in a statement, adding that it will benefit 60 million low-income users.
Companies With Similar Offers
Vodafone Idea’s rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel last week has also launched similar offers for their low-income users base.
Jio has also announced new schemes and free plans for its JioPhone users to help people stay connected during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic
The company will provide 300 minutes of free outgoing calls per month to JioPhone users who have not managed to recharge during the pandemic.
Jio has announced additional talk time and recharge bonuses for its 100 million JioPhone members, while Sunil Mittal’s Airtel has announced that over 55 million low-income consumers will receive a free Rs 49 pack. The pack includes Rs 38 in talk time and 100 MB of data with a 28-day validity period.
