Bajaj, TVS Announce Medical Cover For All Employees: 2 Years Salary, Family Insurance & More
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bajaj Auto reiterated its commitment to supporting its employees and communities across the country, stating that it has set up over 250 beds across all of its plant locations to support its employees, their families, and the community at large.
Bajaj Auto also stated that it would provide two years’ monetary assistance to the family of any employee who loses his or her life due to Covid-19.
Many automotive companies have made it a priority to engage in employee wellbeing programmes and reach out to communities with different relief initiatives and packages.
The manufacturer has announced that it will continue to pay salary for two years to the families of employees who succumb to COVID-19.
Bajaj Auto has committed a total of Rs300 crore to various government, local government, and non-governmental organisation (NGO) initiatives, including the purchase of 12 oxygen plants and other respiratory support equipment.
Assistance In Education For Dependent Children
Bajaj Auto has also announced educational assistance for dependent children of any employee who dies as a result of Covid-19, as well as five years of hospitalisation insurance for his or her family.
It has also been reaching out to the general public with food distribution, medical infrastructure assistance, and testing and vaccination assistance.
Bajaj Auto Will Extend The Insurance For The Deceaseds’ Dependents
Bajaj Auto recently revealed the decision on LinkedIn, adding that the company’s medical benefits for the deceased’s dependents would be extended by five years.
In addition to its other life insurance benefits, the automobile behemoth will sell this insurance expansion.
In the Linkedin post announcing the decision, Bajaj Auto, said, “Payment of monthly salary of up to Rs 2 lakh per month for 24 months, education assistance for a maximum of two children of Rs 1 lakh per child per annum up to 12th standard and Rs 5 lakh per annum per child for graduation will be offered under the assistance policy.”
It added, “As an employee-centric organisation, we will continue to provide constant support to all our employees through various measures and initiatives including but not limited to Covid care facilities, proactive testing, hospitalisation assistance, vaccination camps.”
