Price Of India’s Cheapest SUV Hiked By Rs 33,000; Is It Still India’s Most Affordable SUV?

Renault, the French automaker, has announced a price increase for the recently released compact SUV Kiger. The French automaker’s newest model was introduced in the country at the start of this year, and prices have since increased across the board.

Earlier, Renault India has launched the Kiger sub-compact SUV in the country at a starting price of Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). 

SUV Kiger Price According To Engine

The new Kiger comes in four trim levels: RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ, with two engine options: a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with 100 PS and 160 Nm, and a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 72 PS and 96 Nm.

On the 1.0 L petrol engine, it has a five-speed manual and a five-speed EASY-R AMT, and on the 1.0 L turbocharged unibody, it has a five-speed manual and a five-speed X-TRONIC CVT.

While the ex-showroom price of the base RXE has remained unchanged, the RXL, RXZ, and RXT variants have all increased by Rs 18,000, RXZ by Rs 14,000, and RXT by Rs 20,000.

The AMT version of the car, on the other hand, comes in three trim levels: RXZ, RXT, and RXL. Renault has increased the prices of the listed models by Rs 19,000, Rs 25,000, and Rs 23,000, respectively.

The Turbo version, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and comes in three trim levels: RXZ, RXL, and RXT. The price of the three versions has increased by Rs 24,000, Rs 28,000, and Rs 30,000, respectively.

The turbo petrol CVT variant, on the other hand, has not seen any price changes.

All India One Price

The SUV has been offered in six body paint colours – Ice Cool White, Planet Grey, Moonlight Grey, Mahogany Brown, Caspian Blue, Radiant Red with Mystery Black Roof.

Along with standard mono-tone models, the entire Kiger portfolio also comes with a two-tone paint colour scheme for an extra Rs 3,000.

The revised ex-showroom prices come as ‘All India one price’ and will be the same throughout the states of the country
