Galaxy S21 phones won’t come with headphones and chargers. The company is asking users to reuse their old accessories. None of the new phones, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus or Galaxy S21 Ultra, no of the new Galaxy S21 phones won’t have any wired headphones or a charger. 

Samsung is pushing buyers to reuse their old accessories instead.

But, do note it was only Samsung who took a dig on social media handles at Apple for not including a charging adapter in their retail boxes for iPhone 13 series.

The company said it is promoting “better recycling habits” among customers. The company addressed removal of charger plugs and earphones will help the company address the sustainable consumption issues.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specs

Samsung Galaxy S21 features a 6.2-inch Flat full-HD+Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 421ppi pixel density. It’s a HDR10+ certified display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield and an adaptive 48Hz to 120Hz refresh rate.

Galaxy S21 runs on an octa-core Exynos 2100 SoC / Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It comes with Android 11 and One UI on top.

Coming to cameras, Samsung Galaxy S21 has a triple rear camera setup which includes a 12-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens with a field-of-view (FoV) of 120 degrees and a 12-megapixel primary Dual Pixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens with autofocus support.

Additionally, the device has a 64-megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus, hybrid optic 3x zoom, and FoV of 76 degrees through an f/2.0 lens. 

The third sensor supports optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Galaxy S21 features a 10-megapixel camera sensor upfront with an f/2.2 lens and FoV of 80 degrees.

Samsung Galaxy S21 has 128GB / 256GB of onboard storage options with 5G (NSA and SA both), 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port (with DisplayPort support). Galaxy S21 is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports USB PD 3.0 fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 at 10W.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ comes with a 6.7-inch Flat Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display in an 20:9 aspect ratio and 394ppi pixel density. It’s a HDR10+ certified display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield and an adaptive 48Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by Exynos 2100 SoC / Snapdragon 888, it comes along with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device runs on One UI based on Android 11.

The triple rear camera setup on Galaxy S21+ includes a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter with OIS support. Upfront, Galaxy S21+ features a 10-megapixel sensor upfront.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ comes in 128GB and 256GB storage options, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port and Ultra Wideband (UWB) support. The whole system is backed by a 4,800mAh battery with supports both fast wired and wireless charging. It supports USB PD 3.0 fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 at 10W.

Coming to the premium model, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra features an advanced 6.8-inch Edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display. It’s a HDR10+ certified display with Samsung’s Eye Comfort Shield and an adaptive 10Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. You get the S-Pen with the S21 Ultra for the same Note series experience. You need to purchase an S Pen separately for Galaxy S21 Ultra with a case.

The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 2100 SoC / Snapdragon 888 paired with 12GB and 16GB LPDDR5 RAM options. It runs on Android 11 with One UI on top. 

In terms of optics, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup. It includes a 108-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens with OIS support, a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 10-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 telephoto lens and OIS support, and another 10-megapixel sensor with an f/4.9 telephoto lens and OIS support. 

The first telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom, while the second telephoto sensor supports 10x optical zoom. It has a laser autofocus sensor for enhanced results. Galaxy S21 Ultra also camera supports 100X Space Zoom.

Upfront Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 40-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens.

Galaxy S21 price in India starts at Rs 69,999 for the base 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. The 256GB storage model is priced at Rs 73,999. Samsung Galaxy S21+ price starts at Rs 81,999 for the base 128GB storage option, while the 256GB storage variant costs Rs 85,999. The top-end Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra price starts at Rs 1,05,999 for the base 12GB RAM model with 128GB storage.

The premium 16GB RAM with 512GB storage is priced at Rs 1,16,999. The 12GB RAM / 256GB storage variant won’t launch in India.
