India’s biggest automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will be voluntarily calling back around 40,000 units of Eeco.

Maruti Suzuki Recalls 40,453 Units Of Eeco; Here’s Why
As per reports, Maruti Suzuki has issued a press statement, in which, the automobile company has said that it will be recalling as much as 40,453 units of Eeco. the reason for this call back is the possible issue of a standard symbol that is missing on the head lamp of the car.
In the press statement, Maruti Suzuki has informed that all the units of Eeco that have been manufactured between November 4 of 2019 and February 25 2020 will be affected.
Maruti has also said that the company will be personally getting in touch with all the customers of the suspected vehicles under this recall campaign. As per reports, Maruti Suzuki authorized dealers will be getting in touch with the owners in ‘due course of time.’
Car Owners Can Log On To Website And Check If Vehicle Needs Assistance
Another alternative that has been provided by Maruti is that owners of the Eeco can log on to the company’s website and also fill in vehicle information such as the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) in the ‘Imp Customer Info’ section. The chassis number can be found on the vehicle ID plate. Also, it is mentioned in the invoice / registration documents of the vehicles.
Through this, they can check if their vehicle requires any attention.
This is not the first time that Maruti Suzuki has had to recall its vehicles. In July, Maruti Suzuki India Limited had announced that they will be voluntarily recalling the WagonR (1 litre) units that were manufactured between November 15th, 2018 and October 15th, 2019. In addition to this, they had also announced that the Baleno (Petrol) units that were manufactured between January 8th, 2019 and November 4th, 2019 will be recalled too.
These cars were said to have had a fault with the fuel pump.
