With Diwali in a few days, let us look at the car launches for November 2020…

New-Gen Hyundai i20

The buzz around the next-gen i20 has been doing the rounds for quite some time. But now the upgraded model is finally ready to launch in India. Hyundai had officially announced the pre-launch bookings of the car will be open from October 28 whereas the car will be launched on November 5.

The new model will have a sharper design and a bold style. The new-gen i20 will come with a slew of premium features like connected car technology. The car will get the powertrain of 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre T-GDI turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission options are both manual and automatic.

Nissan Magnite

Recently, Nissan unveiled the production-spec model of Nissan Magnite, a four-meter SUV. The Nissan Magnite by the Japanese car maker is set to launch around Diwali on November 14.

Though designed in Japan, Nissan will manufacture this model in India, both for the domestic market as well for export. Nissan Magnite will be based on the same CMF-A+ platform as the Renault Triber MPV. The model will have a bold style and heavy chrome details. The premium features of the car include LED projector lights, DRLs, two-tone roof, sporty alloys, and LED taillamps. The car will also have a first-in-segment 360-degree camera that will make parking the car effortless. The car will be powered by 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor with a manual gearbox and an optional CVT automatic unit.

Force Gurkha BS6

Force Motor India’s updated BS6 compliant version of Gurkha is likely to go on sale sometime in November 2020. A pre-production model of this car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. It is set to compete with Mahindra Thar and Maruti-Suzuki Jimny.

The new off-road SUV by Force Motor will be seen in a revamped style with a slew of modern features, like new projector headlamps, LED DRLs, bold alloy wheels among others. The engine options include Mercedes-Benz sourced 2.6-litre diesel engine, a BS6-compliant unit which will generate 89 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox with a manual 4×4 as standard.

New Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

Another new generation off-road SUV expected to launch next month is new-gen Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was showcased in Thailand in 2019.

Talking about aesthetics, some style upgrades incorporated in the new generation are – a larger double slat grille, LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, the twin LED foglamps. The rear-end of the car will have vertically stacked LED taillamps with peculiar dual-square lamps and a revised tailgate design.

The car will have a powertrain of a 3.0-litre TFSI engine that produces 349 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. This makes the 4-door Coupe model sprint from 0-100 kmph in about 4.5 seconds. The transmission duties include eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe

Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupe, will be the first locally produce AMG models manufactured at the Mercedes’ Chakan plant.
