In-App Purchases On iPhones Will Become Costly In India; Pay More For Apple Apps Now

Apple has announced via a news update on October 26 that due to changes in forex rates and taxes, the prices of apps and in-app purchases on App Store will increase in 6 countries, which we will list further in the article.

Who knows if services like Apple Music or iCloud subscription could experience a readjustment of price?
App Store Pricing Will Change for Indian Apple Users
In its news update, Apple has mentioned that pricing of apps and in-app purchases, excluding auto-renewable subscriptions will change for 6 countries, including India.
These countries are Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Russia and South Africa.
These prices once changed, will include the local currency exchange rate, in addition to the increased tax.
Speaking of tax changes, Apple specifically mentioned that in India, the readjusted price will include an equalization levy of 2%, in addition to the existing goods and services tax of 18%.
In Indonesia, there will be a new 10% value-added tax for developers based outside of Indonesia.
Updated Price Tier Chart
Apple has attached an updated price tier chart in its news update.
The pricing list mentions that the new prices are applicable from October 2020, however there is no specific date mentioned.
Once these changes go into effect, the Pricing and Availability section of My Apps will be updated, and the amount a user/developer would be required to pay, will be adjusted accordingly and calculated based on the tax-exclusive price.
Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Also, developers will have the liberty to change the price of their apps and in-app purchases, including auto-renewable subscriptions, whenever they like, in App Store Connect.
They can also choose to preserve prices for existing subscribers, if such developers offer subscriptions.
