How often have you been irritated with unnecessary Whatsapp chats and groups chats, which goes on forever. Due to social obligations, you can’t block them, or get yourself removed from the groups.
And the existing mute option was is temporary. After few days, those annoying chats keep on re-emerging, sucking away your attention and energy.
But this will change from now on.
In a welcome move, and understanding the plight of users, Whatsapp has now introduced forever mute option for chats and group chats.
This means, your Whatsapp will be now more serene, calm and non-intrusive; and you can stay connected with your friends/family and groups as well.
If you like solitude and peace, then it’s one of the best features from Whatsapp.
Forever Mute Option Launched
As per screenshots shared by some users it has been revealed that the Whatsapp has introduced a ‘Forever’ mute option for users of iOS in Apple phones.
Along with options to mute chats for 8 hours, and 1 week, a new ‘Forever’ mute option has been added, much to the delight of users.
Since it’s already rolled out for iOS users, it’s expected that Android users too will get the same, very soon.
Once you choose this ‘forever’ mute option, chats will be muted for forever, and the user will not get any notification from that chat, forever!
How To Activate Forever Mute Option?
In order to mute a chat or group chat, you will need to open that chat window.
In the top menu option, select the Mute Notifications option.
You will see three options: 8 hours, 1 week and Always.
Tap on Always, and the chat will be muted forever.
By selecting Show Notifications, you can just see the notifications, without an alert.
In case you wish to unmute the notification, then you will be required to visit the chat options, since the unmute option is not present in the Mute Notifications space.
We weeks back, the unmute option was visible in the Whatsapp Beta version 2.20.201.10.
