Now, this is an interesting question, since several tech observers and social media experts have already compared Shorts with TikTok, and Instagram’s Reels.

Arun Prabhudesai, Chief Youtuber at the 5.7 million strong family at TrakinTech was optimistic on this new feature from Youtube.

He said, “Youtube is the right platform for a short video format feature, and Shorts looks promising. However, it would be unfair to compare it with TikTok, since Youtube already has a similar feature called Stories. Youtube Shorts can be a great tool for content creators to promote their videos and expand their reach. We will experiment a lot with Shorts, and see how it goes from here.”
