Amazon Prime has recently announced its Prime Day in India where multiple small and medium businesses will be launching more than 1000 new products.

While the COVID-19 has obstructed offline mode of shopping, it seems like online platforms might be a good medium for small businesses to launch their products.

Amazon Prime Day To Begin On August 6, 1000+ New Products From SMBs And Startups

Amazon Prime Day will begin at midnight on August 6 and will continue for 48 hours. More than 100 Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and startups on Amazon.in will be launching more than 1000 new products in 17 categories on the platform.

As per reports, Prime members will be able to shop from the SMBs and get a 20% cashback up to Rs. 200 on their Prime Day purchases. Also, many of the local shops will be making their debut on Prime Day to launch their range of products.

SMBs and local shops from Amazon’s Launchpad will be launching products across various categories, such as health & personal care, beauty & grooming, grocery, and home products. 

Amazon’s Launchpad is a platform that hosts products from startups and developing brands to Amazon customers. 

Amazon Prime Day To Help SMBs, Artisans And Women Entrepreneurs

Pranav Bhasin, Director Seller Experience, Amazon India said, “This Prime Day will help small and medium businesses reach millions of Prime members around the country. It provides an opportunity for the smallest of businesses to participate, rebound from recent challenges and grow their business.”

As per Bhasin, thousands of offline businesses have participated in this program by Amazon and will gain profits from the high demand from the customers.

There will also be products from artisans and women entrepreneurs from Karigar and Saheli, on which there will be attractive deals on handmade products and other goods from Tribes India, Blue pottery by Aditya Blue Pottery, Jewelry from Giva, and much more. 

Karigar sellers will be displaying more than 270 crafts that have been developed by artisans throughout the country. Additionally, Government emporiums, APCO handlooms from Andhra Pradesh and Mrignayanee from Madhya Pradesh will also be offering hand-woven apparels from Mangalgiri, Venkatgiri & Chirala to Maheshwari & Chanderi on Amazon’s Prime Day.
