Air India has announced that 14 more flights will be scheduled under the Vande Bharat Mission from United Kingdom to India.

14 More Flights Scheduled From United Kingdom To India Under Vande Bharat Mission

14 more flights will be scheduled under the Vande Bharat Mission for any Indians that have been stuck in the United Kingdom during the coronavirus pandemic. They will operate from July 15 to July 24.

The bookings for this will begin on July 13 from 2 p.m. IST onwards. 

The national carrier took to Twitter and said, “Air India will operate 14 additional flights under #VBM from 15th to 24th July between UK and India. Bookings will open on 13th July from 1400 hrs IST on our website. Passengers may also visit Airport and City Booking offices.”

These flights will be scheduled to travel to London from multiple cities in India, including, Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Goa, Kolkata, Vijayawada, and Amritsar.

Air India has also announced that they will be scheduling additional flights under the Vande Bharat mission from July 21 to July 24. These flights will be traveling from Frankfurt, Germany to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi.

From July 25 to July 28, there will be additional flights scheduled under the Vande Bharat Mission which will travel from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai to Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

5,80,000 Indians Evacuated From Various Countries Under Vande Bharat Misison

Under the Vande Bharat Mission, as much as 5,80,000 Indians have been evacuated from various countries as of July 8. 

Anurag Srivastava, spokesperson of ministry of external affairs, said, “As on 8th July 2020, against a total number of 6,61,352 persons who registered their request with our Missions abroad for repatriation to India, over 5,80,000 have returned under this mission.”

He also announced that the fourth phase of the Vande Bharat Mission is already underway. There are 637 international flights scheduled which will fly to 29 airports in India.
