In an interview with IANS, OnePlus India GM Vikas Agarwal confirmed that the OnePlus 8 series is currently in production in India.

The OnePlus 8 series sales could begin as soon as the end of May, Agarwal added. The company recently announced the OnePlus 8 series India prices as well, and the India pricing is considerably cheaper than the international pricing, but costlier than the OnePlus 7T series.

OnePlus has a huge premium smartphone market in the country, and hence producing phones in India could give it some leverage over the competition. The BBK Electronics- owned company recently lost one-third of its market share in the last quarter in India.

With a production facility in India, it will allow OnePlus to lower the prices and save on import tax and custom duties.

As per OnePlus India GM, the recently launched OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro will be made in India. The OnePlus 8 devices are said to be being manufactured in India presently, and the smartphones will go on sale in the country in late May.

OnePlus 8 price in India starts at Rs 41,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. It’s a special model which will remain exclusive to India.

The mid-end OnePlus 8 model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 44,999. Finally, the top OnePlus 8 in India is priced at Rs 49,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

OnePlus 8 Pro price in India starts at Rs 54,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The top OnePlus 8 Pro in India is priced at Rs 59,999. OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z have priced at Rs 1,999 in India.

The latest OnePlus phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 865 paired with Adreno 650 GPU.

OnePlus 8 series will run on the latest Android 10 with the streamlined OxygenOS on top. The device packs dual stereo speakers with support for noise cancellation backed by Dolby Atmos.

OnePlus 8 Pro display also supports sRGB and Display P3 color profiles with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus 8 Pro is also powered by the same latest Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 865 paired with Adreno 650 GPU.

The second sensor is also a 48-megapixel lens which offers ultra-wide-angle capabilities. It has an f/2.2 aperture and a 119.7-degree field of view.

The third sensor on the OnePlus 8 Pro camera is an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and OIS. Finally, the fourth is a 5-megapixel color filter sensor with f/2.4 aperture supporting PDAF, laser auto-focus, CAF, 3X optical zoom and dual-LED flash.
