After TCS, Infosys too has announced that they will suspend all increments and promotions of employees in 2020.

However, they will honor all 35,000 offers made this year, and they will not fire any single employee.

Infosys: 35,000 Job Offers Will Be Honored

While announcing their quarterly results yesterday, IT major Infosys announced that they will honor all 35,000 job offers made for FY21 this year, and the freshers will be on-boarded soon in a phased manner

However, the experienced hires will be on-boarded based on case to case basis, depending on the requirements.

However, no new hiring of freshers will start anytime soon, due to the uncertainty over coronavirus epidemic.

All Salary Increments, Promotions Stopped

Besides, Infosys also made it clear that all salary increments and promotions for all employees will be stopped and suspended this year.

Earlier, both TCS and Wipro had adopted a similar protocol amidst coronavirus panic: All new hirings stopped, all increments and promotions stopped, but they too are honoring all job offers made.

TCS will hire 40,000 freshers, who have been given offer letters, and also offer small increments to few selected employees.

On the other hand, Wipro may soon ask some of their employees to take mandatory leaves, which can be unpaid as well.

Infosys Will Bring Back Employees In A Phased Manner

On the question of how Infosys plans to bring back their employees to the offices, once the lockdown ends, Rao sad, “We are in no hurry to get employees back to offices. Our first phase of returns, when it happens, will likely get 5% employees returning, and in the next phase will total about 15%,”

Reportedly, Infosys is experiencing 95% efficiency in work from home mode.

Overall, Infosys churned out Rs 4355 crore of consolidated profits in the last quarter, which is 6.3% more compared to the previous quarter.
