Doordarshan Will Replace Ramayana With This Mythological Classic Show From 1988: Full Details Here!
Doordarshan had decided to air some old classics like Ramayana and Mahabharata as part of its lockdown broadcasting schedule. Ever since DD National started broadcasting classic shows, the channel’s TRP has gone through the roof. In a matter of days it jumped to be the topmost viewed channel.
But with Ramananda Sagar’s Ramayan coming to an end, DD’s 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. slots are being filled by a new TV show by Ramayana’s creator!

New TV Show Replaces Ramayana!
Prasar Bharti has announced that Luv Kush would be replacing Ramayan in the 9:00 pm time slot from Sunday, April 19 onwards.
By killing Ravana, the Ramayana story came to an end. The last episode of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan aired yesterday on Doordarshan.
Shashi Shekhar, the CEO of Prasar Bharti,took to twitter to announce this decision by Doordarshan. He wrote, “Sunday morning 9am slot will be a repeat of the finale of the main storyline of Yuddha Kanda. From Sunday night 9pm the episodes pertaining to Uttarakand that have been produced as Uttar Ramayan will start airing.”
Shashi Shekhar later also said that the 9:00 am slot on DD National would show the repeat of the Luv Kush episode broadcasted on the previous day at 9:00 pm like it was doing for Ramayan.

Ramayana’s creator Ramananda Sagar made the television show Luv Kush . The television show was originally known as Uttar Ramayan and was originally broadcasted in 1988.
It was an official follow-up of Ramayan and had many actors of Ramayan reviving their roles. The show is an adaptation of the last book, the Uttara Kanda, of the ancient epic Ramayan.
