The leaked images show a quad camera setup (48 MP primary sensor) placed in a square box and top centre portion at the rear,  in the same manner as on the Note 9 Pro series. The front punch-hole camera comes with 13MP at the top left-hand corner.

According to the TENAA data, the smartphone has a 6.35 inch display Full-HD+ LCD panel (2340×1080) while the body measures 162.33 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 198g. The alleged Redmi Note 9 has 4920 mAh battery.

The smartphone comes with 22.5W Fast Charging and an SOC with a 2.0GHz octa-core SOC. It is rumoured that Redmi Note 9 will be armed with a MediaTek Helio G80 instead of one from Qualcomm. It is to feature 3GB, 4GB and 6GB RAM memory options along with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage configurations. The Android 10/ MIUI 11 will operate the smartphone.

The only difference in the design is that the fingerprint scanner is on the rear as well instead of on the side.
