5000 Vehicles Seized In Bengaluru

Bengaluru police have seized around 5000 vehicles, who were out in the roads, without any reason.

On April 1st, DGP Of Karnataka had tweeted: ‘This is not an April Fool’s prank. Two/ four wheelers are banned from use till the 14th of April. We will SEIZE your vehicle if you CEASE to ignore this lockdown regulation.’

Within 24 hours, more than 5000 vehicles have been seized by the cops.

The DGP also said that people should walk to their nearby grocery stores, and buy the essentials. There is no reason for them to take out their vehicles.

Only those who needed medical care, and vehicles of healthcare workers, hospitals are now allowed on the road.

He said, “All the groceries and essentials are available in their own area, only entry and exits of layouts have been blocked and if anybody wants to purchase these essentials, they can go by walk and buy them. We will not tolerate people roam around the city unnecessary. What is the job of a person staying in Koramangala and wanting to buy groceries from Yeshwantpur? Police are helping those who want to go to the hospital. Only vehicles and persons who are providing essential services are allowed to travel and others have to stay at home.”

This is one rock solid step taken by the police to stop people coming out of lockdown, and will help everyone to contain the virus.

Isolated Persons To Take 1 Selfie/Hour

Meanwhile anyone who is in quarantine in the state of Karnataka, has to send 1 selfie every hour to the healthcare officials.

This has been done to make sure that they are indeed under isolation, and not venturing out.

Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar informed that every patient or general public in quarantine should download an app called Quarantine Watch, and then share the selfies via this app, which will have GPS locations tagged.

The selfies need to be sent between morning 7 to night 10, and incase any one misses sending those selfies, then they will be shifted to Govt hospital.
