Apple has been planning on launching the iPhone SE 2 for a long time, but that is not happening anytime soon, due to the rampant spreading of the deadly coronavirus. Apple’s iPhone SE 2 is said to be a smartphone in the budget segment of the market, and we all know that the budget segment is not one of Apple’s choices. 

The launch has been postponed now, due to unavailability of components and the coronavirus.

Apple’s iPhone SE 2 Launch To Be Delayed To Next Quarter

Apple has been working on the launch of its latest smartphone – the iPhone SE 2, which is the budget smartphone by the company which usually releases premium level smartphones. The iPhone SE 2 is in the last stages of production, and also in the final stage of product verification as well. In fact, the phone has been verified at Foxconn and Pegatron’s factories as well.

There are reports that this phone might be launched this month, however, the date has now been pushed ahead. The company has postponed the PCB timing to the second quarter which was previously this quarter, March 31, to be exact. There is a shortage of components, which is probably due to the outbreak of Coronavirus throughout the globe. 

Coronavirus has had quite an effect on every aspect of our life, from shutting down Paytm offices and making people work from home to launches of phones being cancelled. Before Apple, Xiaomi also announced the cancellation of the launch of the Redmi Note 9 series.

Apple iPhone SE 2: Specifications And Features

As per reports, the phone will come with iOS 13 out of the box. The RAM for the base variant will be 3 GB and the internal storage will be 32 GB. There are rumours about the phone being equipped with a single rear camera but there is no news if it will come with an advanced sensor or the wide-angle lens similar to that of iPhone 11. Also, news suggests that the phone will be similar to iPhone 8, with a 4.7 inch LCD display. There will also be Touch ID and Home Button support.

The price of iPhone SE 2 will probably be priced at $399, which was the same as iPhone SE when it was launched first.
