Realme X2 Pro Design: Complete Glass Design

The latest Realme X2 Pro comes with a simple glass design design technology. The device packs in a quad camera system at the back stacked vertically. Realme X2 Pro will come with a 90Hz Fluid AMOLED screen as OnePlus 7T or 7 Pro.

So the new Realme X2 Pro has the super smooth 90Hz display, a 64MP powered four-camera set-up, superfast charging support and Snapdragon 855 Plus.

The device feels very premium with the glossy glass back. It feels very good to be held, and the gradient colours are clean and smooth. The company also packs in a quality TPU case in the box for smudges, additionally protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Realme X2 Pro Display: The 90Hz Experience

Realme X2 Pro features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display offering a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Realme X2 Pro sports a water drop notch, so it’s not a notch-less display.

Realme X2 Pro will run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip. It has new Kryo cores clocked up to 2.96 GHz with improved GPU performance upto 15 percent. Realme X2 Pro comes with the same UFS 3.1 storage as predecessor with upto 12GB of RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage.

It’s currently the only smartphone to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus processor under 30000.

It’s 15 percent faster than the standard Snapdragon 855 on the predecessor. This won’t be a huge upgrade, but you will find some subtle differences between the devices running on Snapdragon 855.

It can manage everything you throw at it, be it top-end games at higher screen resolution, extensive multitasking or both. Realme X2 Pro will use the AI on the new SD 855 Plus chip to offer some added features and enhance the gaming experience.

Realme X2 Pro Quad Camera: 64MP Quad Camera System

Realme X2 Pro will come with a quad camera system at the back featuring a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor with 20X hybrid zoom and three additional lenses for different purposes. Realme X2 Pro includes a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor. 

The other three lenses are a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP super wide-angle lens, and a macro lens. Upfront, X2 Pro has a Sony IMX471 16MP camera.

Realme X2 Pro offers dedicated 20X hybrid zoom inside the multi camera system. Realme X2 Pro is going to be the first phone in this price segment to come with a 20x zoom powered 64MP quad camera system.

Along with Samsung 64MP GW1 sensor for high-resolution top-notch and detailed pictures, Realme X2 Pro will offer 115-degree wide-angle FoV, telephoto for deducaty portraits and macro imaging abilities to capture super macro photos up to 2.5cm.

The 64MP Samsung GW1 1/1.72? sensor on Note 8 Pro and Realme X2 Pro can create shots 1.6 micron individual pixel size using image sensing technology via Tetracell to produce 16-megapixel images in low-light.

The Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor uses 4-in-1 pixel merging technology to merge four 0.8 micron pixels into a single 1.6-micron pixel to offer detailed images in low light conditions. It can shoot raw 64MP photos with the main sensor.

The selfies have a lot of details and it supports multiple shooting modes and filters to enhance selfies.

The AI-powered modes do a good job in terms of capturing details. The colours were a bit overdone and slightly artificial, but in overall, the front camera does a good job, be it wide shots or low light shots.

The rear four camera setup has multiple sensors for multiple purposes.

Realme X2 Pro can take good detailed and sharp pictures in bright light with accurate colours. In poorly lit conditions, the device manages to click really good photos with almost accurate details and colours. The 20X zoom feature helps X2 Pro capture detailed shots from far distances.

Realme X2 Pro Software: Smooth Enough?

Realme X2 Pro runs on Android 9 Pie powered ColorOS 6. The UI has some refreshing features compared to with an easy-to-use overall structure and few tweaks with some new changes in the settings menu and notification toggle.

The company is working on the next UI, ColorOS 7. They aim to offer a near stock Android experience with ColorOS 7 backed by a bunch of user-friendly features and functions.

Reamle is also working on its own UI, RealmeOS. It’s supposed to launch by the end of the year, and will be pushed to all the existing Realme smartphones via OTA updates.
