With iPhone 11 series yet to go on sale in some countries, the next generation iPhone 12 series has already been leaked. The upcoming iPhones have been leaked, and it’s been confirmed that iPhone 12 series will have a total of four variants.
iPhone 12 will comprise of four different flagships.
iPhone SE2 is already in the works, and that means Apple will probably be unveiling five smartphones next year.
An analyst at MR firm Wedbush said that the Cupertino based giant will actually launch four flagship variants of the iPhone 12 in 2020. Plus some other rumours suggest that iPhone 12 may debut with quad cameras, in-display camera and motion sensor.
iPhone 12 Will Have Four Variants: iPhone 12 Variants
It was Dan Ives from Wedbush who said that Apple will be launching four flagship variants of iPhone 12 next year. As the current iPhone 11 series continues to do well, the company will bank upon the same move with growing response and demand for the different variants of iPhone 11.
Already the rumoured iPhone SE 2 is said to be in the works, and that means Apple will launch five smartphones next year which includes four different variants of the iPhone 12.
iPhone 12 Quad Camera, iPhone 12 Four Cameras & 5G Support
Each variant of the upcoming iPhone 12 series come with 5G support. So, all the iPhone 12 variants will be 5G ready out of the box. Also some leaks suggest that the iPhone 12 series will have smartphones with quad camera systems, probably the top-end model.
The company recently embraced the three camera setup for the latest iPhone 11 variants, and it can soon upgrade to a quad camera system as per the flying rumours.
The iPhone 12 models will feature an additional camera module, probably a 3D time of flight (ToF) sensor to gauge three-dimensional depth also to be utilised as a “rear 3D sensing system.”
Motion Control & In-Display Selfie Camera
A 3D sensing system also adds up to the possibility of a motion control hardware. iPhone 12 may feature some a radar-luke sensor as Soli on Pixel 4. It may offer motion and gesture recognition, which will enable users to use their iPhones without touching them.
Some other reports also suggest that the iPhone 12 of 2020 will have three variants as the Apple’s iPhone XS and XR series of 2018 and the iPhone 11 series of this year.
The next generation iPhones are going to be called iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max continuing the current 2019 series. They will come with the same top quality 120Hz OLED display panels.
Apple may also ditch the three-year old notch with iPhone 12 series, and come with an under-display selfie sensor.
So, no notch or hole, the iPhone 12 lineup might come with a 120Hz screen featuring the under display selfie camera, an in-display Touch ID fingerprint sensor, 5G connectivity, 5nm new Bionic SoC and fast charging capabilities.
