Realme can’t keep it calm. Just within a couple of weeks of Realme 5 series release, the company is now ready with its next, the world’s first 64MP camera smartphone. While we still don’t know who would win the race as Xiaomi is launching Redmi Note 8 series on August 29, and Note 8 Pro is said to sport the much talked-about 64MP camera sensor.

Realme XT is rumoured to launch on September 4 with the same 64MP camera sensor.

We still don’t know who would win the race, but at least in India now it seems to be Realme. The ex-Oppo sub-brand has already confirmed that they would be launching Realme XT in India in September, while Xiaomi India is yet to give us a date for the Note 8 series launch. Keeping all things apart, let’s see what you would get with the all-new Realme XT, the 64MP camera smartphone.

Realme XT Official Images Out: Multiple Details Confirmed

The new Realme XT will again come with a polycarbonate body, and this time with some more hues. The design language is quite similar to the current Realme X, and the camera has been shifted to the left top position. Realme XT is an upgraded version of the current Realme midrange flagship, Realme X.

The official images are out, and there are some subtle differences you can notice. Like the shift of camera module, and upgrade to a quad camera system from the current 48MP powered dual cameras.

As the newly launched Realme 5 series, Realme XT will come with a rear quad camera system, powered by the 64MP camera sensor. 

Realme XT will come with the 64MP Samsung camera sensor as its main lens with three additional sensors for different purposes: an ultra wide-angle sensor, a depth sensor and a 4cm macro sensor. The 64MP Samsung GW1 1/1.72? sensor can create shots 1.6 micron individual pixel size using image sensing technology via Tetracell to produce 16-megapixel images in low-light.

The Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor uses 4-in-1 pixel merging technology to merge four 0.8 micron pixels into a single 1.6-micron pixel to offer detailed images in low light conditions. It can shoot raw 64MP photos with the main sensor.

Realme XT India Price: To Launch On September 4?

Realme XT is expected to launch on September 4. The company has already started to send out the review units, and it may be just another week from now. The smartphone is going to be a part of the Realme X-series with premium mid-range features. As the current X model, Realme XT will come with the a notchless Super AMOLED display, pop-up selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Realme X runs on Snapdragon 710 processor, and the new Realme XT may get powered by the new Qualcomm chips as Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 730G. 

If the smartphone drops in before Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realme XT would become the first smartphone to come with a 64MP quad camera setup using Samsung’s new 64MP GW1 sensor. Redmi Note 8 series will launch on August 29, and Note 8 Pro is said to sport the much talked-about 64MP camera sensor.

We still don’t know who would win the race, but at least in India now it seems to be Realme. If Xiaomi brings Note 8 series before September 4, then things may change in the meantime.

Coming to the Realme 64MP quad camera smartphone, XT will offer various shooting options like wide-angle, macro and portrait camera as on the newly launched Realme 5 budget smartphones. The device may start somewhere around Rs 20,000.
