The much-hyped Mi 9T series will launch today globally, as the rebranded Redmi K20 smartphones: Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. The company will unveil the new smartphones under Mi brand with a few changes on the out.

The K20 flagships were unveiled under Redmi brand in India.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the new Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro will come with a 48-megapixel camera sensor inside a triple camera setup, latest Snapdragon processor, and a 4,000mAh battery.

Mi 9T & Mi 9T Pro Specs & Features: Rebranded Redmi K20 & Redmi K20 Pro

It’s pretty clear that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro as rebranded Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 respectively. The parent company will use a different style on the out with the three camera setup moving to the left hand rear upper side instead of the middle.

Also, the Mi 9T smartphones will have curved edges and sides to offer an ergonomic overall look.

Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro will come with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display offering a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

Mi 9T and 9T Pro will come with pop-up selfie camera on the front including the fingerprint sensor beneath the screen to offer a wider screen to body ratio.

There won’t be any notch with very thin bezels and a little bottom. It’s an aspect ratio of 19:5:9.

Coming to hardware, the Mi 9T will be powered by the newly released Qualcomm chip, Snapdragon 730, while the top-end Mi 9T Pro will come with Qualcomm flagship processor, Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Upfront, both the Mi 9T devices will include a 20MP selfie shooter inside the pop-up sensor.

Coming to rear optics, both the phones will include a 48MP primary sensor. The Mi 9T will include a Sony IMX 582 48MP imaging processor, while the Mi 9T Pro would come with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor.

Both the Mi 9T phones will include three cameras on the back panel coupled with an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto sensor. Both Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro will be backed by a 4000mAh battery supporting wired 27W fast charging technology.

No, Xiaomi will not be bringing the global versions of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro to India. The Mi 9T & Mi 9T Pro India launch is not going to happen, as we will get the original Redmi K20 smartphones, as already confirmed by Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain.

The original flagships, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will launch in India in mid-July.

Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro are global versions of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, and hence will only be available in European and other markets under parent brand Xiaomi under Mi series. Mi 9T Pro has already been spotted on a Netherlands-based online retailer, and a few days back Mi 9T was seen listed on sale in Bulgaria.

Mi 9T & Mi 9T Pro Price In India: What Are The Global Prices?

Mi 9T in Bulgaria starts at BGN 769.90 (around INR 30,900) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. In the Philippines, Mi 9T was spotted selling at a starting price of PHP 19,000 (around INR 25,550).

In China, Redmi K20 has been launched at a starting price of CNY 1,999 (around INR 20,200) for base model.

The global price of the upcoming Mi 9T Pro is yet to be revealed. In China, the Redmi K20 Pro starts at around Rs 25,200 (concerted). In India, reportedly the flagship will cost cheaper than the Chinese variants.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will launch in India in mid-July.
