Oppo Reno Listed: Specs, Price, USPs, India Launch, Availability & More!

Reno by Oppo, the upcoming smartphone series from the Chinese company has finally been publicly listed. The Oppo Reno was spotted on a Chinese e-commerce listing, revealing some key specs and price.

Oppo will be unveiling the new Reno series on April 10.

The listed Oppo Reno smartphone is the toned-down version of the original smartphone. The company is expected to unveil two or three Oppo smartphones at the April 10 event.

The smartphone has been listed on China’s biggest e-commerce site JD.com.

Oppo RENO: Leaked Specs & Features

The upcoming Reno series has been earlier tipped to be available in two models, standard and flagship. The top-end OPPO Reno will be powered by the current Qualcomm flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855 processor.

The standard Oppo Reno variant or the affordable version will come with the Snapdragon 710 chipset.

Coming to the design, the OPPO Reno series will come with gradient back design featuring a non-porous finish.

Up front, the Reno top model will come with a 93.1 screen-to-body ratio like Find X. The smartphone will have a full-screen Dynamic AMOLED display offering Full HD+ resolution. The flagship model is expected to run on a 4,065 mAh battery backed by VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

Both the Reno smartphones will run on the latest Color OS 6.0 software based on Android 9 Pie.

Oppo Reno: Cameras & Optics

The top-end Snapdragon 855 Oppo Reno smartphone will come with better cameras and added features. Coming to optics, the flagship Reno will come with a triple-camera setup, while the affordable Oppo Reno has only two cameras at the back.

Even the leaked list of specs of the affordable Oppo Reno on JD.com shows a rear dual camera system.

The flagship Oppo Reno, on the other hand, will come with the special 10X lossless hybrid optical zoom technology based on a periscope, similar to Huawei P30 Pro. The smartphone will feature a 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary sensor. It will additionally sport a super wide-angle snapper with a 120-degree field-of-view telephoto lens.

In comparison, the standard Reno come without any hybrid zoom technology.

Oppo Reno Price: Bookings Live Now!

The Oppo Reno listing is live now. You can book the standard model on JD.com right now. To register, you need to visit the OPPO China website. In China, the top-end Reno model running on Snapdragon 855 and triple cameras is expected to start at around 3,000 yuan. It translates to around INR 30,000 roughly.

The company is offering special discounts to users who will book Reno in advance.

Oppo is also an additional discount on an exchange. According to the new offer, Reno purchasers from April 19 to April 21 will be able to avail a one-year screen damage insurance at 129 yuan (Rs 1,300).

Will Oppo Reno Launch In India? Oppo Reno India Price

Oppo till now has brought its all major flagships to the country. From the Oppo R17 Pro to Find X, it hasn’t excluded India from its list. Similarly, Oppo Reno will launch in India and is expected to land in the country within a few weeks.

The company is yet to comment on the official availability of Reno smartphones.

Oppo Reno will go official in China on April 10, and the sale is expected within a week.

The smartphone will be available in four gradient color options: Purple, Green, Black, and Pink Gold.

The Reno line of smartphones will be available in other markets as well, including India and other South Asian countries. Coming to the Oppo Reno India price, the smartphone is expected to be priced at around the original Chinese pricing in the country.
