After a long wait, the popular Moto G successor is here in India. Moto G6 has finally made it to the country, and will readily get into a war with some of the best-selling mid-range smartphones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Realme 1.
Motorola has seen success with its G-series smartphones in the country, and the G-series has been one of the reasons for its immense popularity in India.
The new Moto G6 will go on sale across all MotoHub offline stores online exclusively via Amazon India from June 5. All the three smartphones have a sturdy unibody build on the out. All of them feature a dual camera setup at the back with a curved back that is comfortable for one-hand use.

Display
Moto G6 will come with a 5.7 inch full HD+ 18:9 widescreen IPS display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Whereas both Note 5 Pro and Zenfone Max Pro M1 have a 5.99 inch full HD+ widescreen 18:9 display. All the smartphones have minimal bezels on their top and bottom.

Hardware
Under the hood, Moto G6 will come with an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. On the other hand both Max Pro M1 and Note 5 Pro sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

Software
Zenfone Max Pro runs the stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Moto G6 runs near-stock version based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and Note 5 Pro comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9 on top.

Storage
Moto G6 and Asus Zenfone Pro are available in two storage versions of 32GB and 64GB. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a single storage version divided into two RAM variants of 4GB and 6GB.

Rear Camera
All the three smartphones have a dual camera setup at the back. Moto G6 has a rear dual camera comprising a 12-megapixel primary shooter coupled with a 5-megapixel secondary shooter with a f/1.8 aperture. Similarly, Redmi Note 5 Pro also features a rear dual camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features a dual camera setup as well and comes with a pair of 13-megapixel primary sensors coupled with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. All the devices support Portrait Mode, PDAF, autofocus and bokeh background-blurring effect feature.

Front Camera
Up front, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 20-megapixel shooter with AI based Beautify 4.0 feature and a dedicated front flash. On the other hand, Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with an 8 megapixel front shooter with an aperture f/2.0 and front flash. Moto G6 will come with a 16 megapixel front sensor and will feature beautification capabilities and special modes like group selfie mode and portrait mode.
Verdict – Redmi Note 5 Pro
Battery
Moto G6 will come with a 3000mAh battery, while the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has a huge 5,000mAh battery. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 4,000mAh battery. None support fast charging. Though Motorola is shipping a bundled 15 W TurboPower charger with Moto G6 inside the box.

Pricing
After the recent update with the prices, Redmi Note 5 Pro now costs Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. Moto G6 in India will cost Rs 13,999 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs 15,999 for the 64GB variant. ZenFone Max Pro retails at Rs 10,999 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs 12,999 for the 64GB storage variant.
