India’s largest telecom operator Airtel is offering free 30 GB of high-speed data, for VoLTE testers.

Airtel’s Free 30 GB Data To VoLTE Testers: How To Avail?

Right now, Airtel is offering their VoLTE services across these circles: Mumbai, Maharashtra, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Chennai & West Bengal.

However, they want to expand their VoLTE services and improve their performance in existing domains.

For that, they have launched a unique VoLTE Testing Program, wherein testers from some states will be able to get free 30 GB of high-speed 4G data.

However, this scheme is only valid is these states:

  1. West Bengal
  2. Odisha
  3. Assam
  4. Kerala
  5. Bihar
  6. Punjab
  7. Andhra Pradesh

If you are an Airtel user in these 7 states, then you can avail their free 30 GB.

This is how to avail:

  • Step 1: Check your phone number’s eligibility by visiting here.
  • Step 2: Upgrade your OS and enable VoLTE switch on your phone.
  • Step 3: Get free 30 GB data and start testing Airtel’s VoLTE services.

Now, the free 30 GB would be provided in three instalments:

  • 1st 10 GB: Once you download and enable VoLTE switch.
  • 2nd 10 GB: Providing feedback at the end of the 4th week.
  • 3rd 10 GB: Providing feedback after the 8th week.

  2. Gujarat
  3. Delhi
  4. Karnataka

Meanwhile, reports have emerged, which state that telecom sector needs 1 crore skilled personals in the next 5 years.

Telecom Sector Skill Council or TSSC is spearheading this mission.

As per TSSC data, in the next 5 years, the telecom sector is expected to generate tremendous job opportunities in the fields of machine-to-machine communications, telecom manufacturing, infrastructure and services companies.

TSSC is already training and reskilling employees so that they are able to perform these jobs.

TSSC CEO S P Kochhar said,

“There are 4 million people employed in the telecom sector and by the end of five years, 14.3 million people will be employed in telecom as well as telecom manufacturing,”

TSSC is a Non-Profit Organization, jointly set up by The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), Indian Cellular Association (ICA) & Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE).

The creation of this organization had become necessary, after 40,000 people lost their jobs in the telecom sector, and by the end of 2020, it is expected that around 1 lakh would be out of their telecom jobs.

Right now, TSSC is creating educational modules, based on National occupational standards.
