Rs 2 Lakh Crore Investment For 5G

This announcement was made during the 45th annual general meeting, which was presided over by Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani.

He also informed the nation that Reliance will infuse a record Rs 2 Lakh crore into Jio for developing a faster and more capable 5G network across India.

On the launch of 5G across India, Mukesh Ambani said, “within the next two months, that is by Diwali of 2022, we will launch Jio 5G across multiple key cities including the metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.”

As per Mukesh Ambani, by December 2023, Jio’s 5G network will be expanded to every city and town across India.

Besides, Reliance will cover 3.3 million square km of India’s land with high-speed broadband connectivity as well.

100 Million Smart Homes With Jio 5G

During the AGM, Mukesh Ambani declared that the launch of 5G will open up a new world of opportunities, and possibilities.

Once the 5G is launched, around 100 million homes across India will be converted into smart homes, with next-gen services and offerings.

As per reports, Jio will deploy ‘Stand-Alone 5G’, which is the world’s most advanced and fastest 5G network, which will have zero dependencies on their existing 4G network.
