All Govt Schools In This City Will Have CCTV Camera! Live Feed Will Be Shared With Parents

According to the sources, the government of Delhi has planned to install CCTV cameras in the government schools and have the parents of these children have access to the live feed.

It was in 2019, that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 2019 announced to install CCTV cameras in all government schools and provide live feed of the classrooms to the parents.

For the Sake of Safety & Transparency

A little bird told PTI that the PWD is executing the project of construction of classrooms and schools and there is also a plan to install CCTVs in these classrooms. The live feed from these shall also be shared with the parents. It is the brainchild of education department, and PWD merely is handling the execution of the same.

The source said that the move is aimed at safety as well as transparency in the teaching system. There are often questions raised about the quality of education that is given in the government schools and such an initiative wherein the feed will be shared with the parents will ensure transparency and give them an assurance that their ward is studying.

Secured Login Access & Consent

This will be achieved through individual secured login credentials with individual IDs and passwords provided to the parents. The government software shall collect and update the students’ details and parents’ mobile numbers.

The parent who has signed the consent forms will only be granted the access and login credentials.

A source said that “After getting consents from the parents and guardians, the principals will compile the student details in an excel format and submit it to the PWD which will upload the details in the software”.

Kejriwal’s rise in Indian politics was helped by the fact that that he studied at an IIT, something that immediately evokes reverence among the middle class and the education has played really well for AAP and their rise in Delhi and Politics in general.
