The Forbes’ list of America’s richest self-made women is out – and five of these on the list are Indian-Americans.
One of them is Jayashree Ullal, the CEO of Arista Networks, who has a net worth of $1.9 billion.

Jayashree Ullal Ranked 15th Among Forbes’ List of Richest American Women
Jayashree Ullal stands fifteenth on the list of Forbes’ eighth annual list of America’s richest self-made women.
Jayshree Ullal, who has been president and CEO of the computer networking company Arista since 2008, is the richest Indian-American on the list in part because of the stock she holds in that company.
Ullal is 61 years old and owns 5% of Arista’s shares, with a part reserved for her niece and nephew and her two daughters.
Ullal is also a member of the Snowflake board of directors, a cloud computing business that went public in September 2020 and generated $2.3 billion in revenue the same year.
Ullal, one of the richest female CEOs in America, was raised in New Delhi and attended the Convent of Jesus & Mary school there. She was born in London. She then pursued studies in engineering management and electrical engineering at Santa Clara University and San Francisco State University, respectively.
Other Indian American Women On Forbes’ List Of Richest Self-Made Women
There are other Indian-Americans on the list besides Ullal as well. Neerja Sethi, who has a $1 billion net worth, is ranked number 24. With a modest initial investment of $2,000, Sethi and her husband Bharat Desai cofounded the IT consultancy and outsourcing business Syntel in 1980.
Confluent cofounder Neha Narkhede is ranked at number 57 on the list; she has a $900 million net worth.
Indra Nooyi, the former chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, is ranked 85th with a net worth of $320 million.
Reshma Shetty is the final Indian-American on Forbes’ list of the richest women in America who are self-made. The co-founder of Gingko Bioworks, who is 41 years old, has a $220 million fortune.
