True to its traditions in other countries, IKEA in India, Mumbai to be specific will be offering free breakfast options to visitors.

Days And Timings

There are two IKEA stores in the city – Navi Mumbai and Worli.

The complimentary breakfast will be available in the Navi Mumbai store between 10:30 AM – 11AM on all days.

It will be available in the Worli store from 10:00am – 11:00 am on weekdays.

Menu Items 

Breakfast at the Navi Mumbai Store consists of a croissant with chocolate spread and a hot beverage.

Visitors can enjoy one bakery product and coffee at the Worli Store.

The official site mentions that the offers are valid for a limited time.

The Worli store, named IKEA Worli City Store, was inaugurated on December 9.

It is the first city store in the country.

City-Store Format Vs Big Box

The city store format allows the brand to be adapted to smaller urban spaces.

It also makes it easier for customers to experience IKEA and shop its entire range based on a well-integrated digital and physical shopping experience.

It occupies an area of 80,000 sq ft, whereas the traditional big IKEA blue box is typically 400,000-500,000 sq ft.

Ghatkopar Store

This January the company had leased two floors spread over 1 lakh sq ft of retail space at realty developer Runwal Group’s R City Mall in Mumbai’s central suburb Ghatkopar.

The lease was for a long-term tenure of a total of 9 years.

The company is approaching Mumbai with a different plan that is closer to its strategy in other international cities like Paris, Moscow and Shanghai.

Bangalore Store Coming Soon

It also has a large store under development in Bangalore which is expected to open later this year.

It presently has e-commerce and app operations in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat.

However, its main focus with its stores stays in Mumbai, Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and Bangalore.
