The independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date for the pre-medical entrance test NEET’s date for 2022 and updated the entrance exam dates of the engineering exam JEE Mains on Wednesday.
As per the announcement, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam will be held on July 17, 2022 and the dates of JEE Mains have been revised to be held in ??June and July.
NEET Final Date Announced by NTA
As mentioned above, NEET will be held this year on July 17, and its online registration has begun from Wednesday. The last date for registering oneself in the exam is set for May 6.
According to an official from NTA, “Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the information bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.”
It will be conducted in 13 different languages across the country.
Last year in 2021, the undergraduate exam for medical aspirants in the country, NEET, was conducted on September 12.
Over 95% of the candidates registered for the exam appeared in it.
Moreover, starting this year, the upper age limit for medical aspirants to sit in the exam has been removed, and anyone irrespective of their age can now appear for the exam.
Earlier, the upper age limit to appear for NEET UG was 25 years for the General category and 30 years for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
The decision will immensely benefit aspiring doctors and further help in strengthening medical education in the country, stated the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya, last month.
JEE Mains Dates Revised: New Dates
NTA has revised the dates for UG engineering entrance exam JEE Mains 2022
Session 1 of the exam will now start from June 20 and go up to June 29, while session 2 of JEE Mains 2022 will start from July 21 to July 30, 2022.
- Jee Main 2022, Session 1: June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29
- Jee Main 2022, Session 2: July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30
“The registration for session 1 is over now. The schedule for inviting the online Application Forms for session 2 of JEE (Main) – 2022 will be available soon,” a notification from NTA read.
