Airtel, Jio, Vi Users Can Port Out Without Any Min Prepaid Plan (How To Port?)

Telecom operators can no longer stop users from porting out with low-end prepaid plans!
Telecom operators can no longer stop users from porting out with low-end prepaid plans!

Prepaid plans do not offer SMS benefits and therefore when you go for porting, you need to recharge a minimum SMS bundled prepaid plan.

So if you have a Vodafone Idea sim, and you want to port to Reliance Jio, you need to pay minimum SMS bundled prepared plan of Rs 179. The plans like Rs 49 and Rs 79 won’t be in any use. But the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has changed that now. Telecom operators can no longer stop users from porting out with low-end prepaid plans.

Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) had made their prepaid plans with SMS benefits quite expensive.

SMS Plan From Vi

Vodafone Idea’s minimum SMS bundled prepaid plan cost Rs 179.

Last week, Jio filed a complaint with the TRAI alleging that Vi’s plans prevent low-end plan consumers from porting to other networks.

As a result, even if they are on a prepaid plan that does not provide SMS benefits, all users will be able to port out SMS to 1900.
