Hero MotoCorp is committed to providing customers with sustainable mobility options as it announced on Friday that its first battery-powered scooter will be available in India by March 2022.

In a press release published earlier today, the corporation verified the news. Well, there is a confirmation that the electric vehicle project is going to be far advanced!

Hero MotoCorp added that the vehicle will be built at its plant in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, in southern India.

Hero MotoCorp’s First Battery-Powered Scooter

In April of this year, there was an agreement with Gogoro, a Taiwanese startup, to share battery swap technology and other features.

Though there is no statement regarding the features one can expect fast charging, high range, and the ability to swap out battery packs.

Rivals

Hero’s first electric vehicle will give a tough competition in the market! And its main rivals will be Bajaj Chetak electric, Ather 450X, and TVS iQube.

The price of the scooter might somewhere be under ?1 lakh. Though there is no official announcement regarding that.
