According to a report in the Times of India, Infosys has launched an internal talent marketplace called FLUID to enable people to reskill and progress up the value chain.

Infosys targeted to hire 45,000 freshers, up from 35,000 previously for this fiscal year. Infosys had a total employee base of 2.67 lakh at the end of the June quarter, as compared to 2.59 lakh in the March quarter.

Also, Infosys, while announcing the quarterly earnings, said that it is engaging to adopt a hybrid work model as more of its employees have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Infosys Has Created An Internal Talent Marketplace!

Infosys has reskilled employees filled 34% of digital project hiring requirements, with 80 per cent of reskilled talent moving to digital projects within a year of upskilling.

Also, it looks like the digital revenue accounts for more than half of the company’s revenue according to the journal.

Skill Tags is another initiative taken by Infosys! Skill Tags work like skill badges to identify competency in various technologies.

So as of now, almost 22,000 employees are skill-tagged!

So it sums up to 29% of the digital solution specialist workforce and in specific skill categories, almost 6,500 persons have premium skill tags.

Digital Quotient To Check Employee’s Digital Readiness

It also launched Digital Quotient, a technique that objectively assesses an employee’s digital preparedness.

“Our Digital Quotient is a comprehensive score that helps Infoscions keep track of their digital capabilities. Using the score, Infoscions can understand how their skills compare to others and enables them to realise new opportunities,”

ToI report quoted the company as saying in its Talent Pulse Report.

Approximately 80,000 employees have gained new skills as a result of this.
