Finally, the wait is over for 52 lakh central government employees, central government servants (CGS), and more than 65 lakh pensioners.

As only 10 days are left after which they will be receiving the increased Dearness Allowance (DA) which was most awaited for a long time.

As part of the 7th Pay Commission from July 1, 2021, all the Central government employees are set to receive Dearness Allowance (DA) benefits.

As per the recent report, the Central government confirmed in the parliament about the rollout of stalled dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) from next month.

How Much Salary Hike Can Be Expected?

With this move, many people are confused about how much salary they will be getting.

If you are confused about how much salary will you get from next month onwards according to 7th pay commission matrix? Then let us understand it in a simplified manner.

As per the government announcement, we already know that the stalled dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) will be resumed from July 1.

The other fact is the three installments of dearness allowance for central government employees and DR for pensioners, due on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021, were frozen due to pandemics.

So now, the employees will be getting the benefit of two years DA directly, since the dearness allowance of the central government employees had increased by 4 percent in January 2020.

During the second half, in June 2020 there was an increase of 3 percent i.e. in January 2021, the dearness allowance increased once again by 4 percent.

This simply indicates that the total has gone up to 28 percent. So in the final calculation, the DA will be increased by 11% to 28% and afterworld it will be reinstated from July 2021 onwards.

How To Calculate Your Salary With The recent Changes?/

The salary of a central government employee consists of three components under 7th Pay Commission i. e.  basic salary, allowances and deductibles.

For this calculation, we are considering the basic salary as Rs 18,000, which is also the minimum salary according to the pay matrix of central employees.

Considering this amount, the 15% dearness allowance is expected to be added which results in an addition of Rs 2700 per month which means Rs 32400 will be added annually as DA in this scenario.

Employees Demand Of DA Arrears

Apart from DA, the central government employees are also demanding the paid arrears from January 1.

Although, the center has made it clear that arrears will not be paid for the DA hike that would have been come into effect a lot earlier had there been no pandemic.
