Weekend Lockdown In Pune: What’s Not Allowed?
In a late evening directive, The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to reimpose complete weekend lockdown in the city.
Under this weekend lockdown, only essential shops will be allowed to be open, and all non-essential shops will be closed down.
Essential shops can be opened till 7PM, just on weekdays. But non-essential shops will be closed down.
This means that all restaurants, bars, shopping malls, salons, wellness centers, beauty parlour, spas and other non-essential shops will remain closed.
The order from PMC said, “The essential category shops will be allowed to function on all days till 7 pm. All other shops except those in essential category, malls, saloons, beauty parlours, spa and wellness centers along with non-essential category shops will not be permitted to operate on Saturday and Sunday,”
After 10 PM on weekends, there will be no movement of vehicles and there should be a valid reason if any person is out on the road.
What Will Be Allowed To Open During Weekend Lockdown
As per the order, all essential shops will be allowed to open till 7PM, and all restaurants and eateries will be allowed to provide only take-away and online orders. Dine-in facilities will be closed.
Besides, Govt offices are allowed to be operational at 50% capacity. Non-essential entities such as spas, beauty parlours, shopping malls etc can be open on weekdays, with 50% capacity.
