Pune Under Mini Lockdown From April 3: What Is Allowed, What Is Banned? (Full List)

A ‘mini lockdown’ has been announced in the Oxford of East, Pune, by Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao on Friday, 2 April.

The city of Pune is the worst affected district in the entire country with more than 9,000 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

The restrictions, which as of now are applicable till 7 April, shall be extended if the cases keep rising.

Following is what you need to know about the restrictions in Pune.

Night Curfew?

A curfew from 6 pm to 6 am shall be imposed in the city for the next seven days. However, there is going to be an exception for medical emergency and essential services.

Which All Services Shall Be Shut?

All other services, except for essentials, shall be closed closed from 6 pm to 6 am, such as:

  • Bars
  • Malls
  • Weekly markets
  • Religious places
  • All eateries

However, home delivery services shall be allowed.

Will The Buses Ply For Next Seven Days?

No, PMPL and PMC buses will not run till next week. However the buses for state transport as well as inter-district transports will be allowed.

Will The Entry To The City Be Banned?

No. As of now, nothing of the sort has be announced.

What are the restrictions on public gatherings?

  • Marriages shall have only 50 people and funerals with 20 people are allowed.
  • Other gatherings, religious or political or otherwise will be banned.

What About Education Institutions?

Till 30 April 2021, school and colleges shall remain closed. However, while adhering to all precautions exams shall be conducted as per announcements for Class 10 and 12 students
