Samsung Will Manufacture Qualcomm’s Latest Snapdragon Processors!

For the past two years TSMC target to make high-end chips Qualcomm. But according to the report, Samsung might be the one to take over orders for Qualcomm‘s next. The Snapdragon 888 is the latest flagship processor of Qualcomm and it is built using Samsung’s 5nm EUV fabrication process. This might be one of the major reasons to believe that Qualcomm will remain Samsung’s client for another year.

According to reliable leakster Roland Quandt

Qualcomm is already evaluating the successor to the Snapdragon 888 SoC, according to a reliable leakster. Waipio is the codename for this chip, which has the model number SM8450 and will be manufactured by Samsung Foundry. However, it is unclear if the next-generation chipset will stick with the 5nm LPE method or move to a more advanced one.

This chipset, in particular, is said to have an energy efficiency comparable to TSMC’s 7nm process. Meanwhile, it’s rumored that Qualcomm’s SM8350 Pro (also known as the Snapdragon 888+ or Snapdragon 888 Pro) will be manufactured by the company.

Samsung to produce next-generation modem chip worth about one trillion!

Qualcomm has selected Samsung Electronics’ Foundry Department to produce its next-generation modem chip Snapdragon X65 and its sub-model X62., foreign media outlets and industry sources said on Feb. 15.

Samsung will manufacture Snapdragon X65 that will be produced through a 4-nm micro-process. It has a data transfer rate of 10Gbps, which is 100 times faster than an LTE modem chip. The approximate value of the output volume is one trillion won. As a result, Samsung Electronics will once again manufacture Qualcomm’s core chips.
