TWS Headphones, In-Ear Headphones Most Preferred By Earphone Users

A poll was conducted to ask about the headphone preferences of people, and True Wireless (TWS) headsets have made it to the top of the list.

On being asked “Which headphone form factor do you use?” about 3978 people, which made up for the 34% of respondents, have voted for in-ear headphones. TWS has come in second, with about 3001 people who make up for 25.65% of respondents voting for it.

The poll results have also stated that wireless headphones have not been very widely accepted yet. As per the poll, “Wireless models are still lagging behind in some areas, mostly low latency and the convenience of never needing to be charged.”

Majority Respondents Use Wireless Headphones

However, about 41.37%, as much as 4028 people have voted for wireless headphones on being asked, “Do you use wired or wireless headphones?” Whereas, 27.61% of people, i.e., about 2688 votes went for wired headphones.

There also are people who voted for “Both, it depends,” and about 2846 people which made up for 29.23% of respondents voted for this option. Then there is the rare 1.80%, which is about 175 responding people, who voted for “I don’t use headphones.”

We also had reported to you earlier that the overall market of TWS in India increased by a whopping 723% YoY in Q3 2020. Boat, the brand that has topped the list has had an 18% share in Q3, whereas, Xiaomi and Realme have come in second and third. Their market shares are 16% and 12% respectively.

The poll also clearly shows that audio quality doesn’t matter; convenience is more important than quality, as per majority opinion.
